I have not read any other work by this author so I am not sure what to expect. While the premise sounds intriguing, I found the excerpt for the First Impression to be very dry. The simplistic writing already started to grate on my nerves... he said, she said, he did this or turned that way and then... It was more tell than show. I would definitely give this book a second chance though.
