I love Dean Koontz and the Whispering Room is another amazing thriller by this prolific and talented weaver of words! I have not read the first in this series but will be going to the shelf soon to find out what happened to Jane and her dead husband Nick in the first book. I really enjoyed Jane's fast thinking and snappy personality as she tries to thwart the criminals implanting nanotechnology into the public. The cross country chase is intense and I enjoyed the people Jane runs into (and away from!) along the way. I enjoy stories with strong and capable female leads and Jane Hawk, an intelligent and savvy FBI agent on the run to stop a conspiracy is right up my alley. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
