Wow, fast paced and so good. Read the First Impression and provided a First Impression review, but received an ARC from Goodreads giveaway. This was typical Dean Koontz, heart pounding and scary because his stories always have an element of possibility. Jane Hawk, an on the run FBI agent set up and accused of crimes. Who can she trust? Can she fight the government and big corporation who killed her marine husband and threaten her son. Humanity is not the same as sick individuals who want to take over the world come up with and create devious technology making folks do things that their character or personality would not do, in addition to wiping minds and creating robots. Jane's quest for vengeance and righting a wrong brings other individuals who surprise her with their willingness to assist her and put themselves in jeopardy reinforcing that there are good people out in the world as well. Loved Jane and look forward to reading other books with her in it.
