This book was just what I was hoping for as a follow up to The Silent Corner. Jane Hawk is a great protagonist-strong, smart, tough, and resourceful-and this book was filled with the action, intrigue and suspense (and great writing) that filled its predecessor. The good vs. evil theme continues as Jane confronts a huge conspiracy and continues with her mission to avenge her husband but also continues to reveal more about herself as a character to the reader. In this book, the reader starts to see that there are more sides to her personality. I enjoyed meeting the new characters as well, and I'm interested to find out which ones will be recurring. The technology and sci fi aspects were really interesting to read about, although the plot felt frighteningly realistic and possible. It was a fast-moving book and kept me completely entertained with every page. I'm looking forward to continuing with the series.
