I am a reader. As an only child growing up in a rural area, books became my friends - companions in adventures around the world. As life moved on and responsibilities took over, my reading decreased. I still loved to read but did not always find or make the time.
Upon retirement I was able to go back to my books and one of the first authors I fell in love with was Dean Koontz. The magic he works with phrasing is amazing. He characters do come to life before your eyes. You learn to love them, worry about them, and need them to conquer the evil they confront so they will be there for your next adventure!
The Odd Thomas series was spellbinding and when he left us, there was a sense of loss. But in true Koontz fashion, he has returned with a new hero: Jane Hawk. She is brave, loving, and dangerous. Jane is awesome and the series another example of Koontz brilliance.
Thank you, Mr. Koontz, for a truly great read. Cannot wait for #3! As a side note to you and the publisher, the font and typespacing could not be better for older eyes. Kudos!
