I've never read Dean Koontz before, and I don't think I should start with this one. This book appears to be one of the later parts of a series and not much back story is offered up about Jane. Although the premise sounds really cool, and like something I would typically read, I think I would need to a least read the first book in this run to have a better idea of who Jane is.
