Within the first few chapters, I realized "The Whispering Room" is another great novel written by Dean Koontz. The Characters are well defined, the plot immediately begins to unfold, and the action begins to rise. Koontz has a way of breathing life into his characters. He gives them personality and traits that other authors can not do. The characters in "The Whispering Room" are no exception. It is easy to empathize and become attached to them. Koontz uses a writing technique that is soothing, smooth and poetic. The words glide across the page like butter on a hot biscuit. He gives insight to each of the characters and what they are like.
In "The Whispering room," I immediately see the action about to unfold, I am curious as to why Cora is acting so strange. The rogue FBI agent has locked Mr. Hannafin in the closet with a screwdriver and a hammer! Will he get out?! Where is this all going?! Well, I don't know. We will just have to wait and see!
