A world where religion rules and dictates the actions of all its citizens is a dystopia setting I have always enjoyed. Maybe it has to do that for women in these stories, subject matter like this is more of a historical fiction that a potential science fiction plot.

Although this is only a snippet of the story, I can already say I am hooked. The world building and quick set up about the plot and location make this book both easy to jump into and filled with a sense of foreboding.

With our narrator leading the way through the familiar yet different world of New Jerusalem, readers will be taken on a journey of self-discovery, rebellion, and one woman's path to learning she has a voice when it comes to her own destiny.
