There have been plenty of news reports about supposedly religious cults-gone wrong, but 'The Virtue of Sin' seems to capture what many news reports are missing: the hidden thoughts, desires, and fears of those held captive in cult communities. One detail that makes me want a copy of this book is the detail of an actual location - a remote desert road when driving south out of Las Vegas.
