New Jerusalem is a private area for those who follow the word of Daniel. Women have no rights and are to do what they are told, including marry whatever man calls her name at the marriage ceremony. Miriam has been dreaming of Caleb and knows that means she will be chosen by him.
Earlier, she saved Aaron from a poisonous bite and he decides to show his thanks by calling her name for the ceremony. Miriam is now married to Aaron according to the rules and Caleb is alone.
How will this turn out? Will Miriam rebel against the rules? Will she ever get Caleb? What happens to Aaron if she does? This sample did have more religion that I prefer in my stories, but otherwise looks good.
