The characters remind me of other books written in the genre. The female lead is depicted as strong-willed yet one of the few willing to question what is to happen. The male figures are either in control or weak with a sense of strength hidden behind the facade of their everyday life. The initial storyline reminds me of a Cult (Jonestown came to mind). I believe this would be a quick weekend read.
