I'm not quite sure what I think about this one. I am not the type to really enjoy dystopian or post-apocalyptic fiction -- this one reads a bit more dystopian but also gave me similar feelings to Ayn Rand's Anthem and others like it. The incorporation of scripture was the interesting concept to me, making a statement about religion and women's roles I think more than anything else from the first bits that I read. I don't know that this is the book for me and think I would find myself just getting frustrated (for myself, for the characters, and so forth). As a woman living in an unequal world surrounded by plenty of women whose voices aren't heard, I don't know that I want to read more about our plight ... I'm already living there ... it's those who refuse see this existing inequality in our world that should pick up this book and read it.
