The blurb was intriguing. And, the cover is appealing. While there is a sort of an ordinary "extreme religious cult is bad" story, the characters of Caleb and Miriam are appealing and I want to read more about them and find where the story is going to take them. And, I want to know what happens to Delilah. I'm also interested in finding out more about the beliefs of the members. Living in Utah, some of this sounds like the funadamentalist religious groups we have here (without the polygamy aspect). So, while there is a little bit of the story seeming familiar, there is definitely enough there to want to read more. It reads quickly and is compelling.
