Right from the beginning the author introduces to Miriam and Caleb . Two young adults living in what is called The New Jerusalem community. Where women are taught obedience and virtue. In twist of events everything changes. Miriam and Caleb do not end up together at the Matrimony Celebration. Miriam ends being wedded to Aaron, the outsider . I really enjoyed how the author is already setting the pace for could be a story with great premise.
A community where women do not have a voice. Who must follow orders and be complacent and obedient.
This is definitely going to be a character driven book. I wanted to keep reading more . I especially thought it was creative the way you here not just Miriam as first person but also,Caleb is given a narrative voice.
I thought the cover was appealing and went well with starting of the book.
