This was my introduction to the thriller genre and it does not disappoint. Alex North does an incredible job setting up a tale that walks the boundary between reality and the paranormal, such that it is hard to tell until the end where the story will lead. The time jumps are incredibly well done and the POVs are expertly woven throughout. This is probably the scariest book I've ever read and I had to stop reading it at night due to the heavy influence of dreams in the book making me afraid of my own dreams.

Alex North has a writing style that gets in your head and it sticks with you. If you're looking to be haunted, this is a book for you. Be warned though, it is a dark tale and there are a few descriptions that are difficult to read. It is not a book for the faint of heart. This book is absolute on the horror side of the thriller genre and the suspense is nearly all encompassing.
