This book creeped me out the entire way through. It was dark and disturbing, foreboding in many ways, and just left me unsettled the more I read it. Paul Adams has left the town he grew up in where a nasty murder took place--and where one of his friends disappeared. When his mother starts to have health issues, he is forced to return to the town he cannot stand to be in. When he was younger, he had a friend named Charlie Crabtree who committed a murder. But were they really friends? And the person Charlie murdered was someone very close to Paul. When he returns home, strange things begin happening and he realizes he is being followed. He has also come to realize that--on top of the copycat killers that have come from what Charlie did--he may not know what really happened the day of the murder. A creepy, intriguing, manipulating book that kept me on the edge of my seat!
