I loved The Whisper Man because of the way the author’s writing inserts you right into the setting in the book. I can tell The Shadows will be the same way for me. I love the creepy feel that permeates every scene. The fact that the story starts off by throwing the reader straight into the action makes this a book that I will likely be unable to put down.
I also love books that have a past and present that are somehow connected, which it seems will be the case in this one. The characters (Paul in particular) have pasts that they still struggle with and I love watching characters like this develop throughout the story.
The cover of this book is AMAZING and would have drawn me to this book even if I wasn’t already a fan of this author’s writing. I can’t wait to read this book!
