I don’t want to accidentally give away any parts of this one by writing a summary so I’ll skip straight to the review!!
I fell so damn hard in love with The Whisper Man last summer. I mean head over heels, googly eyes in love!! So when I found out Alex North was writing another novel I told myself, “yo! You’re not going to love this one as much as The Whisper Man so let’s keep the expectations at a minimum!” Now I ordered my copy through BOTM because I still had some credits and my ocd wanted the copies to match. My copy got to me a day before the release day so of course I sat and binged the entire novel in one sitting.
This one was definitely creepy although not quite as creepy as The Whisper Man. I got huge Slenderman vibes and I loved it! In North’s true fashion he hit me with a curveball and some big twists!! Thank you kind sir!!
Now did I love this one as much as The Whisper Man? Not quite! Was I completely and utterly surprised by how much I liked this one? Yes!! Bravo Alex North!!! Your sophomore novel gets 4.5 very well earned stars that I rounded up to 5!! Keep these wonderful novels coming!!!
