THE SHADOWS, Alex North’s follow up to THE WHISPER MAN is everything I look for in a thriller. A potentially unreliable narrator, fast moving plot and a little bit of a supernatural edge. THE SHADOWS looks at friendship and what happens when that relationship becomes toxic. Sometimes, even though it’s not good for, that childhood connection haunts you through the years and stays an integral part of who you are. Especially when it feels like that person is always watching you. THE SHADOWS is a fantastic read that moves quickly and is never boring or slow. Well developed characters will have you savoring every page and a heartbreaking twist will have you rethinking the entire book. Alex North has another compulsively readable thriller in his publication list and this is a standout sophomore novel. I’m looking forward to seeing more from North.
