My Review: When I read The Whisper Man, It took me a few days to really process what I had just read. It was an AH-MAY-ZIINGG Read! (And to this day, it’s THE MOST popular review on my website!)

When I found out that Alex North was releasing a new book, it automatically jumped on my TBR list, and I couldn’t wait to read it! Wishes do come true!

I won a copy through BookishFirst, and imagine my face when I received this beauty of a book!

Pitched as a blend of Stranger Things with The Outsider.. it’s set up for success!

I have to admit that I did go into this novel expecting it to be similar to The Whisper Man. It wasn’t.. and I LOVED IT. It was different, unique and filled with peculiar characters, and an incredible mystery.

Written in first person, with points of views from the past, as well as the present, gives a unique take on the story and characters. There is a long list of characters, and as the reader, I had to pay attention to the detail, the conversations. Who was hiding information? Who wasn’t being very truthful?

There is a ton of detail, and I really had to keep up, in the end it all connects. I love not guessing the story line right away, and this one will keep you guessing.

My Verdict: It was creepy, it was confusing, it had me second guessing myself the whole way through.. I Loved It! Alex North is an amazing and talented writer, and I cannot wait to read what’s next for him. Definitely add this title to your list. It’s well worth the read for anyone who loves a good murder mystery, with a twist.
