Alex North is a masterful storyteller. His characters are so fully fleshed our. It’s easy to lose yourself in them. I really enjoy reading about Paul and how haunted he is by everything that takes place that fateful year of his life. It’s easy to feel his loss and regret and see how it affects his life. My interest was piqued by lucid dreaming and how and how these boys are so easily impressed upon by the sinister Charlie Crabtree. I’m loving how enthralling this book is. It is creepy enough to want to keep reading but not so creepy that you have to put it down. I think people are really going to love this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of it. This was well written and kept my attention.
