The Whisper Man by Alex North was one of my favorite books from 2019- definitely the best thriller I've read in a long time. So when I heard about The Shadows, I was so excited to read more from this author. That being said, I know it's not fair to compare books as they are all different.
However... the first few chapters of The Shadows have already sucked me in and I cannot wait to read the entire book. The writing style is intriguing, and it has the perfect "unputdownable" quality I seek in books. Dual timelines are always great in thrillers as well, because it keeps me reading fast to get back to the other viewpoint. I'm not sure where the book is heading yet, but I have a feeling it is going to be a wild ride!
