This book was big steps forward from The Whisper Man. North still intertwines the real horror of the present to the past. He still shows the deep connections between the characters, friends and family. This book flowed so smoothly and yet had me questioning myself on what I know to be real and imaginary. The twists in this book truly threw me, and I had to change my conclusion on who the villain was and if the man with the red hands was real or not over and over again. I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone, so I’m not going to go into any detail on what the book is about. All I can say is, if you love a good thriller; if you like for an author to keep you on your toes and to make you continuously question your answers to the changes in the story; if you like a story that keeps you constantly engaged, then give this book a try. 4/5 stars!
