Alex North has such a descriptive way of writing that makes you feel his novels deep down in your bones. He is one of few writers that actually ignites a true fear in you while reading - which I LOVE. I read books to transport me to another world or place and he is such an effective writer in doing that. The Shadows is sure to be another edge of your seat thriller following in the footsteps of The Whisper Man which shook me to my core. The visual descriptors are unmatched, and really help paint the picture of what is going on in the story to help you imagine that you are IN the situations that are being written about. I love books that actually freak me out, and Alex North is one of few authors that has achieved that - a definite recommendation to my friends.
