This one did not have the crazy ending The Whisper Man did and I am glad. I did not want another repeat and The Shadows did not disappoint. I liked the style of book and the lucid dreams part was creepy. And I was horrified to know who really died that day! I enjoyed the ending of the book. It was heartwarming and completely different from The Whisper Man. I am glad Paul got his closure.

I liked the mention of Featherbank which is where The Whisper Man took place and I was glad to see Detective Beck struggling with the memory of her father and his strength. I am glad she found hers and did her own thing. I cannot wait for another book by Mr. North.
