I did not want that first impression to end! I love how it started with a bang, first back when the initial crime happened, giving just enough detail to make the readers need to know more. Then with what I’m guessing is the copycat crime where we learn the details of a horrific crime marked by bloody handprints. I like that the detail was left out at first and then revealed only slightly by his delirious mother. So far great read that definitely gripped me from the start and I’m hooked now. I liked the third/first person narration which offered both an outsiders view as well as the more intimate first person inner dialogue. Well written and I love the cover! Especially now knowing of the handprint significance. Perfect. Thank you for the opportunity to read this first impression I can’t wait to continue this one!
