Okay, I'm a sucker for this kind of plot. I love characters with horrific events in their backgrounds, and I'm also always a fan of creepy kids/teens. The characters so far seem like they're going to be nicely developed, and this is clearly the sort of book that's going to have some nifty twists (and I expect to enjoy trying to guess them and being surprised).
