Suspenseful, intense intro that hooked me!

The crime scene with the child hooked me from the start! That piece brings a deeper sense of emotion and suspense to the story as we follow Paul in his professional, then personal life. I liked the glimpse into his relationship with his mom and his dad (who has since passed) and the intensity of his visit with his mom, and how her outburst related to the crime scene. I wanted to keep reading!
