The Whisper Man was a very creepy book. And the synopsis of The Shadows sounds a lot like The Whisper Man. But in reading the excerpt I'm seeing differences and I am liking them! Doesn't seem quite as eerie as it's predecessor but hoping it gets just as good! I would've liked the cover to be more unique, it looks like the Whisper Man cover with the colors inverted. This seems to be the new trend with authors and standalone books. Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen's books have similar covers, Riley Sager's books have similar covers.
