I loved The Whisper Man by Alex North, and on first impression The Shadows seems to be a similar story with a creepy, suspenseful vibe. The prologue immediately caught my attention, and now I am eager to read and find out how what happened to this man as a child will connect with what is happening now as an adult. And how does his mom know about the red hands?
I like that it features different character perspectives, and after reading from each perspective, I can't wait to learn more about Amanda and Paul and how their stories will eventually connect. This is an intriguing start to the novel, and it makes me want to keep reading more now!
