The prologue did a good job of making me dread what Paul and his mom were about to see. The first chapter of part one reminded me very much of The Whisper Man and I worried it would repeat. It. Did. Not! I loved the imagery of the red hands everywhere! I have had a hard time reading in general, like a reader's block and these 26 pages just flew! I look forward to reading this book whether I win it or not
