From the get-go, this book is very intriguing - there *at least* 3.5 storylines (I'm counting Amanda's modern-day role and the past case with the 2-year-old as 1.5 lines), that are presumably connected in some way, but each pull me in individually. I'm very curious about how these all play out, and since I read and greatly enjoyed Alex North's previous horror/thriller, I'm hoping this one is just as good! The character's each already have really distinct ways of speaking - I can clearly imagine the relationship between Amanda and Dyson to be kinda humorous to read, since I enjoy reading that kind of detective trope from Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad series. Is Paul Adams involved in the prologue? I can't wait to read more!
