Let's start with the cover: Alex North's books seem to have a running theme of hands on them, but this one is quite different from The Whisper Man - both in color and the addition of people. It drew me in from the first glance. Five stars for the design!
As for the content, it is properly spooky and draws you in. However, I think I would need way more than just 3 chapters to get the timelines and stories straight. Each chapter so far seems to have a different point of view and setting, so I was a bit put off by the jumping around. Pushing beyond my initial confusion, the build-up and the mystery surrounding this murder have me drawn in and I would love to read more!
