I love a book that has a dark character right from the start

Alex North gained acclaim as the new king of page turning thrillers with The Whisper Man and this new novel sounds even better. I love the idea that it starts with a presumably solved murder with a dark villain and then a potential copycat arrives on the scene bringing everything into question. I got goosebumps just reading the synopsis.
