The story line and plot are driven forward, I like how the author wasted no time, with the catalyst at the very beginning. I'm not the biggest fan of the characters so far, I feel like they're basic and one dimensional, and what has been shown of their backstories thus far seems stereotypical. The cover is interesting, it captures your attention and ties in well with the recurring symbol in the story. I want to read more to find out the meaning of the red hand print, and to learn more about the characters.
