"The Shadows" by Alex North just isn't engaging. The prologue is intriguing enough; however, as the story opens there isn't enough to keep me as a reader engaged. I wasn't on the edge of my seat as I'd expect to be for a novel of this genre. It may be a great read for others, but it didn't do anything for me.
