I had major Whisper Man vibes coming from reading this excerpt. The whole idea of a copy cat killer. The parent-child relationships. The childhood experience that left an indelible impression. I really enjoyed The Whisper Man so I am definitely looking forward to reading Alex North's second novel. The way Alex North's storytelling unfolds is subtle yet very unsettling.
