My first impression of this book is that I want to read more! I thought that the first two chapters were very creepy and I really enjoy scary books. I loved "The Whisper Man" and I think this one will be just as good from the short excerpt I read. The scene of the body and the red handprints is so vivid and the mother bringing it up on her death bed gave me chills.
I love the cover and I love how it ties into the author's previous book. They will look great sitting on a shelf together. It definitely grabbed my attention and I knew right away who the author was without even reading. I love that about it.
I would love to read more of the story. I am very intrigued!
