Wow! This is going to be a stunner. From beginning to end (and from the perfectly chilling cover), this excerpt delivers on what promises to be an absolutely unputdownable story. It has a perfectly ominous tone, and from the prologue it's clear something bad happened- but you're left to wonder, at this point at least, what exactly went on. Last year's The Whisper Man was a twisted delight, and from what I've read so far, Alex North's sophomore novel might be even better.
