LOVED this first look, told from a variety of perspectives and times, the prologue set the stage for the original crime and whom it involved, with just a hint of who "Charlie" was, the first chapter brought us into current day and the new crime, and the second chapter tied them together. All of it just made me want more and more. This is the kind of book that I would not want to put down until I knew it all - who was Charlie and what did he do? Why did Paul feel responsible for him? What do they both have to do with the current crime? What will his mother's dementia bring to light? And what was the book by her bed? I do NOT want to wait until July to get these answers but I will add it to my TBR list so that I don't have to wait any longer than that. Also loved the cover, the shadows turning into the skeletal hand is very clever. This one is a huge YES from me!
