I couldn’t tell from the cover of this book what it was about and almost didn’t read the expert. Having read the description and now the excerpt, I’m not sure the cover fits.
This excerpt starts with a group of teenage boys separately playing a video game together. It’s the night before the boys leave for a week at summer camp.
One of their crew has just told them that it’s his last year with them at camp because he’s moving. Another character, nicknamed Shovel, is going to camp for the first time.
