I’ve always been inexplicably drawn to retellings of the Arthurian legends from the female perspective, so I’m intrigued by this book. It’s different from anything I’ve read before. Clearly well-researched, it incorporates interesting historical elements and style. Because of this, it’s somewhat dry and awkward to read. I’d prefer a more modern and emotionally engaging tone. Despite this, I’m eager to read this unique perspective.
