The illustrations are beautiful

So my first impression of the introduction and first couple paragraphs is this is trying to replicate early fairly tale folklore style writing. I don’t mind it but what really drew me in were the color illustrations more books are utilizing that. If done correctly they can be beautiful for sure. I would pick this up just for the images alone.
