Okay! Buckle up! First off, the cover is giving Princess Bride meets Harry Potter, meets Titan AE - does anyone remember that movie?!
That very first illustration of who I’m going to assume is Viviene, made me happy that she resembles Buttercup from The Princess Bride! The detailed map of the kingdom is extremely beautiful and it’s one of the worlds I’d love to just dive into. And it isn’t fair that we can’t jump into books, when they look, feel and read this way.
My last note is that if Shakespeare’s work read this way, I would have been even more enthralled!! It reads like a modern day Shakespeare and I can’t get enough of it! I tried “turning the page” and when I realized I couldn’t, I immediately turned my phone over. Yes you read that right. I turned my phone over. I can’t wait to read this book in its entirety!
