Might be promising.

This is one of those books where I really want to love it but I’m not really sure how much I even like it. I’m not a huge fan of the cover, I could take it or leave it. I was caught off guard at the very beginning and how it goes from a part of the story being told to several maps(these are cool but very busy) and then right back into the story. The illustrations throughout were a nice touch and very beautiful. When it comes to the MC I’m currently on the fence. If she stays the current way she is then I’ll probably dislike her but if she actually grows throughout the book and becomes a stronger female lead then I’m sure I’ll love her by the end.
