I am sure that there will be fans of fantasy who gravitate towards this book and hopefully enjoy it, but I do not believe I will be among one of its readers. I think the writing is likely to match the time period, but it wasn't done in a way that felt engaging to me. I am also not incredibly drawn in from the plot summary, so that does not help any.
