I found Mr. Gibby’s book to be a little confusing. There was the beginning of a story with the princess in peril. Then, there were maps and a lengthy explanation of folklore and occurrences from events and times in the past. I wonder if there was a mix up of some sort here. The next part seems to start the story. This part ended with the Princess escaping, but no mention made of the princess surrounded and about to be captured by the Saxons on horseback which was part of the preface. I liked the pictures but can’t say I looked at the maps much.
