I actually have book 1 of this series, The Blacksmith Queen (and the pin), so I already know that this is a sequel and what's going on. If you did not know this was a book 2, then it probably doesn't read well since you really don't have much background story and information. So far though, from the first look, it has promise. The cover is nice too, just like the first book.
