I was a little skeptical of this book going into it, but I was surprised at how much I loved this first look. I fell in love with the characters from the start of the first look. While we only have two chapters to read, those two chapters do a lot for the development and letting us get to know the main characters. You instantly realize how strong of a woman and warrior Gemma is. She gives up so much to go stand by her sister's side and fight with her. I want to get to know more about both Keely and Bellatrix and see how that rivalry works out. I also want to know what happened to Samuel; he left with Gemma, but he's never mentioned again in the first look. Quinn is an interesting character- I look forward to and want to know more about how his and Gemma's relationship will develop. They are so different, but are fighting on the same side and are forced allies. I'm so excited for this book and to see what happens next! I already added it to my want to read in Goodreads.
