I am already sucked into the story! I really want to read more.
The author wastes no time in getting to the heart of the story and what the patient exhibits. However, the story does seem to show it's hand on what happened to the patient early on to make him that way and I hope it is wrong because part of the fun of these types of stories is figuring out why the patient is so off. And it's a pretty mundane reason if it holds to be true.
That aside though, the story itself seems to be well written, the characters engaging, and for once a head nurse is likeable. After One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, it seems all head nurses have to be monsters. I am so glad that this story denies that overused trope.
I must continue on this journey with the characters! I am in this adventure to the end.
